Joan Sorita

Joan Sorita is an internationally recognized educator in animal aromatics, flower essences, and holistic animal wellness with over 30 years of experience. She is Co-Founder of the Northwest School of Animal Massage and heads its Animal Aromatic Science Department, where she teaches aromatherapy, flower essences, and ethical natural care for animals. A certified massage therapist for both humans and animals, certified aromatherapist, and Certified NES Health Practitioner, Joan is also a leading advocate for applied zoopharmacognosy—the study of how animals instinctively select natural remedies to support their well-being. Joan helped establish professional standards for animal massage therapy in Washington State by contributing to legislation and developing a veterinary board-approved curriculum. Today, she continues to educate practitioners worldwide while developing botanical products and promoting the safe, ethical use of aromatics and flower essences for animals.
